FIXED: Unable To Log Into PUBG Account (PC/Mobile)

Player Unknown’s Battleground has been around for a long time and it’s still being updated on a frequent basis. The game still has bugs and some users will run into problems that others never will. If you’ve been unlucky enough to be affected by the login issues that some users have reported, then you’re in the right hands.

Lately, we’ve been contacted by players who’ve had problems accessing their accounts. Instead of helping them one by one, we figured it would be better to create a resource that everyone can access to help them with this problem.

Continue reading as we’ll go through the different methods that can be used to get access to your PUBG account.

How To Get PUBG To Let You Login To Your Account

The cause of the problem can vary greatly from one user to the next. There isn’t a universal fix that solves the problem regardless of what it is. Instead, we’ll have to dig deeper to understand what’s causing your account to be inaccessible.

1. Poor internet connection (PC/Mobile)

Make sure that your internet connection is stable. If your connection is being interfered with, then that could be what’s blocking you from accessing your account. If you’re able to browse Google with ease and use other internet-dependent applications, then you’re probably fine.

It should be noted that you can still access sites with a poor internet connection. Therefore, this could end up tricking you into thinking that your connection is stable when it’s not. You can check your status by visiting websites like – ismyinternetworking.com.

If everything looks good, then proceed down the list.

2. Incorrect account information (PC/Mobile)

Are you sure that you’re using the correct information? We’ve had a couple of users who’ve reported that they can’t access their account only to find out they were typing their account information with caps lock turned on – or that they had misplaced the password they were using.

3. You haven’t updated the game (PC/Mobile)

If you haven’t updated the game to the most recent version, then this could be what’s stopping you from logging into your account. Some platforms will download updates in the background as soon as they’re available while other platforms require you to manually download them.

Make sure you have the most recent version installed then try again. If you’re unable to update the game even though you don’t have the latest version of the game installed, then I suggest reinstalling the game completely.

4. The game is undergoing maintenance (PC/Mobile)

Do you know if the game is undergoing maintenance? Oftentimes, a game will have weekly or monthly maintenance done on its servers and during this time, the servers aren’t available for players. Maintenance is done to improve the game – but you won’t be able to access your account and play the game during.

You can see if the servers are down for maintenance on Twitter or Reddit or other social media platforms. The information should also be available on the login screen.

5. Your antivirus is blocking access to the game (PC)

Antivirus software is supposed to keep track of the files on your computer to make sure they don’t contain any viruses or potentially harmful files. Sometimes, these programs will report that the game files are corrupt or contaminated and put them on quarantine.

Whether you’re using a third-party antivirus or Windows Defender, open the application to see if any of the game files are being blocked by the antivirus. You can allow the game to pass through the antivirus, which should solve the problem.

6. Your game files are corrupted (PC)

It is possible that the game files have become corrupted. This means that the files are damaged and don’t work perform as they were intended to.

This can happen to any type of file on your computer and in some cases, it can be solved by simply restarting the computer. However, it’s highly likely that you might need to reinstall the game if the files are corrupted.

If you’re playing from Steam, you can verify game files by doing the following:

  • Right-click the game in the Steam library
  • Go to Properties
  • Go to Local Files
  • Select Verify Integrity of Game Files

7. You need to reset your password (PC/Mobile)

Simply resetting your password has also proved to be a viable method of regaining access to your PUBG account.

8. You need to change regional settings (Mobile)

You might be able to access your account by changing your device region. This works if the platform is being blocked in your current location. If the game isn’t inaccessible in your region, then this method may be redundant.

Otherwise – do this to change your regional settings. (Android)

  • Go to Settings
  • Go to Additional Settings
  • Go to Region Settings
  • Chose another region

9. Close all other background applications

In some instances, a background application can block the game from running as intended. When troubleshooting the game, close all other applications to make sure as few programs as possible can interfere with the game.

If you can log on to the game after closing background applications, try opening them one by one until you find which app makes the problem resurface.

I hope any of these fixes we’ve mentioned work for you! If you found any other method that we haven’t listed, let us know so we can add it to this resource to help as many players as possible.
