The service is used frequently by businesses, organizations, and private users to communicate and structure meetings.

Throughout the last couple of years, a bunch of my clients have contacted me regarding an issue where they’re able to receive e-mails but can’t send any themselves. If you’ve had problems sending e-mails with Outlook, stay tuned as we’ll go through all the fixes we’ve tried that have worked.

Remember that the Outlook application is available both as a desktop and -web application. The desktop application is the one you’ve got installed on your computer, and the web app is the one you can access by visiting outlook.com or office.com.

Here’s what we’ve tried. I recommend going through the list from start to end. Clicking the links will take you to the section of the article where that specific solution is shown.

I strongly suggest that you try one solution and then check if it worked before you proceed to do the next thing. It’s always best to do it one thing at a time, as you’ll have an easier time pinpointing what solved the problem.

1. Resend the message

Sometimes, an email might end up in the outbox folder as a draft after it’s sent. If that’s the case, simply go to the outbox folder and try resending the message. This simple fix will work fine if the issue was a one-time thing, but if the issue persists and Outlook doesn’t let you send new messages at all, then you’ll have to proceed down the list.

2. Check if offline mode is active

Outlook has a feature called offline mode. This feature will prevent you from receiving and sending e-mails, as Outlook is disconnected from the mail server. You’ll see if Offline mode is activated on the status bar at the bottom of the application window.

The reasons for the feature vary, but a common reason to use offline mode is to browse through your e-mail and calendar in Outlook when you’re nowhere near a network or have limited mobile data at your disposal. If the feature is activated, you’ll have a hard time sending emails as there’ll be no communication between Outlook and the mail server.

While users have stated that they’re able to receive e-mails, it’s still worth checking if offline mode is the culprit.

Step 1: Open Outlook

Step 2: Go to the Send / Receive tab

Step 3: Check if Work Offline is selected. Uncheck it if needed then restart Outlook.

3. Make sure you’re connected to the server

If you aren’t connected to the server, then you won’t be able to communicate your outgoing and ingoing data. This will make it difficult (if not impossible) for you to send and receive e-mails. To ensure that you’re connected to the server, do the following.

Step 1: Look for the Outlook icon in the system tray down in the lower-right corner of the screen. If it isn’t visible at first sight, look for the upward-pointing arrow and press that to expose it.

Step 2: Hold down the CTRL-key and right-click the Outlook icon.

Step 3: Select Connection Status

Step 4: Now you’ll see a list of SMPT addresses. Scroll to the right to see if their connection status is set to established.

Step 5: If the connection isn’t established, press Reconnect in the lower-left corner of the window.

4. Make sure your device has a stable internet connection

While you shouldn’t be able to receive e-mails when your device isn’t connected to the internet, you might have cached e-mails or e-mails that you’ve already received but haven’t read yet. Therefore, checking that your internet connection is stable and working as intended is recommended.

Try visiting a website or using any other network-dependent service to see if the internet connection is working.

5. Test the Send All feature

Outlook has a feature that sends all unsent e-mails that the mail server was unable to send the last time it tried. The send all feature can be accessed via Outlook’s desktop application and could perhaps prove useful when having problems sending e-mails.

Step 1: Open Outlook

Step 2: Go to the Send / Receive tab

Step 3: Click Send All

6. Restart Outlook

If you haven’t already restarted the application, that’s worth doing as it might fix the problem. Sometimes, an application will be stuck or unable to contact the server until the process is shut down and restarted. Simply close down Outlook and start it back up again. See if the issue persists.

7. Create a new mail profile

Creating a new mail profile can solve a bunch of different temporary glitches in Outlook. It has been used by users all over the world to overcome minor and major bugs in the application. I don’t recommend removing your old profile, instead, I’d suggest that you create a new profile and save the old one just in case.

Step 1: Close Outlook then open the Control Panel by searching for it in Window’s search bar.

Step 2: Look for the Mail icon in the control panel. If your view doesn’t look like mine, make sure your view is set to “Large Icons”.

Step 3: Click Show Profiles

Step 4: Press Add

Step 4: Name the profile

Step 5: Provide your e-mail address when prompted then click Next.

Step 6: Click Finish.

Step 7: Select the new profile in the upper window then change the profile set under Always use this profile to the new one.

Step 8: Click Apply then Ok.

Step 9: Start Outlook and input your e-mail and password if prompted.

8. Try disabling your VPN

If you’re using a VPN, or virtual private network, to protect yourself when working, the VPN might throw a spanner in the works for you, as it can sometimes hinder other apps from working as intended. This can include Outlook among other applications.

Checking if this is what’s causing Outlook to not send e-mails is done in a matter of seconds. Simply disable your VPN connection and then restart Outlook. If the issue was caused by the VPN, it should be resolved by now.

It might also be worth restarting the computer after disconnecting from the VPN.

9. Increase server timeout load

By default, Outlook’s timeout settings are quite low, approximately 1 minute. When the server timeout settings are too low, the application will start acting up. This includes not being able to send/receive e-mails, sending duplicate e-mails, etc. It might be because there’s a large mailbox or list of files and folders that takes longer to sync than the timeout settings allow.

Increasing the timeout settings can prevent this type of behavior. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Click File in the upper-left corner.

Step 2: Click Account Settings to open a dropdown menu. Then click Account Settings in the dropdown menu as well.

Step 3: Select the profile in the list. With the profile selected, click the Change Account button.

Step 4: Click More Settings in the lower-right corner.

Step 5: Under the Advanced tab, slide the Server Timeouts from short to long.

Step 6: Press Ok.

10. Try Outlook’s web application

If you’re a frequent user of Outlook’s desktop application, then you might not like the idea of changing over to the web application. Well, they’re updating the desktop application to look more and more like the web application. Regardless, you’re not doomed to use the web application for the rest of your life.

Instead, try accessing Outlook’s web application to see if the issue also happens when you try to send e-mails from there. This should indicate that there’s something greater going on. You can access the web application by going to www.office.com and signing in with your account.

11. Update the application

Ensuring you have the most recent update isn’t a surefire way to stay out of trouble, as some new updates actually bring more problems than they fix. But if you’re experiencing problems with the application, I suggest that you look if there’s an update pending.

Step 1: Click File in the upper-left corner.

Step 2: Go to Office Account in the lower-left corner.

Step 3: Click Update Options on the right-hand side then Update Now.

Follow the prompts that follow and let the application update if an update is found.

How To Stop Deleted Chrome Bookmarks From Coming Back https://www.techserviceguru.com/how-to-stop-deleted-chrome-bookmarks-from-coming-back/ https://www.techserviceguru.com/how-to-stop-deleted-chrome-bookmarks-from-coming-back/#respond Thu, 13 Oct 2022 08:22:33 +0000 https://www.techserviceguru.com/?p=767 Usually, deleting bookmarks off Google Chrome isn’t particularly complicated. However, sometimes they keep coming back when you don’t want them to. Having a bunch of old bookmarks in your browser that you don’t want there anymore is annoying, as it clogs up your visible bookmark spaces.

This begs the question, how do you stop deleted Chrome bookmarks from coming back?

The most common solution from stopping bookmarks from reappearing is to reset Chrome Sync. To do this, first back up your data. Then, head into your Google Chrome settings by clicking the three little dots at the top right. Then, head into Sync and Google Devices. Click Sync and Google Services, then Review your synced data. After this, scroll down until you find the reset button.

Now you know the most common solution to solving this issue regarding Chrome bookmarks. However, if this doesn’t work for you, or if you’re looking to do this on your mobile, keep reading.

How To Stop Deleted Chrome Bookmarks From Coming Back

Let’s first go over all the possible solutions to this problem. Whether you’re on a phone or a PC, one of these should definitely work for you.

Reset Google Sync

As I mentioned briefly before, resetting Google Sync is a good way to fix your bookmarks not disappearing after deletion. First, back up your data. To back up your data, follow the steps below.

  • Copy and paste this into your browser window: chrome://bookmarks/
  • In the Bookmark window, click on the three dots at the top right and select Export bookmarks
  • Scroll down until you find the Reset Sync button and press it
  • Clear any existing bookmarks
  • Log out from your Gmail account and check for more non-deleted bookmarks, then delete them
  • Log in again, and check if any bookmarks are there

To reset sync on your phone, follow the steps below. Remember to back up your data on your phone as well.

  • Head into your Google Chrome settings by clicking the three little dots at the top right
  • Head into Manage Sync
  • Find Data From Chrome Sync
  • Finally, find the reset button and press it

Turn Off Extensions

Chrome extensions are great, for the most part. In some cases, however, they interfere with Chromes processes and cause bugs and errors. That’s why you should try to turn your extensions off, to see if this fixes your problem.

Don’t worry, you can disable extensions without having to delete them. To do this, follow the steps below.

  • Head to chrome://extensions/
  • Disable extensions pertaining to bookmarks

I would actually recommend that you turn off all of the extensions you have, just to be sure that there aren’t any problems with any of your bookmarks.

Reinstall Chrome

You can also try reinstalling Chrome, after backing up your data. This should fix the bookmark bug, although it is a bit tiresome to perform.

As I mentioned, first back up your data. Head to the settings by clicking the three little dots at the top right, then go to autofill. There, you can export things you want to save. For example, to export your passwords from this menu, click the three dots under Show and select Export passwords…

Also, export and save your wanted bookmarks by going to chrome://bookmarks/ then clicking the three dots in that window’s top right corner. After that, press Export bookmarks.

After you’ve done this, go to the Google dashboard. From here, you can stop Sync and delete your data from the servers of Google. After doing this, be patient and wait for 10 minutes.

When you have waited for 10 minutes, uninstall Chrome from your computer. This way, Google won’t have any saved information on you, on your computer, or on their servers.

Then, restart your computer. Re-install Chrome and sign in, then turn on sync. To re-sync, follow the steps below.

  • Open Chrome
  • At the top right of the browser window, click Profile
  • Sign in
  • To sync your info, click Turn on sync then Turn on.

Now, you want to import that backed-up information to Chrome again. For passwords as an example, head to Google’s Password Manager and click the cogwheel. Here, you can choose to upload saved passwords.

Of course, you can also import other information that you backed up. You might need to do a little research on this, as the how-to depends on what you’re looking to import.

Switch Browser

Finally, if none of the above solutions worked for you, then I would consider switching browsers. I personally prefer Firefox as it uses less RAM and has a nice UI.

I realize that this isn’t the optimal solution to the problem, but it is a solution nonetheless. In my opinion, browsers are a matter of habit. You will get used to other browsers after using them for a little while.

Does Clearing Data Remove Bookmarks?

Something people usually try when they can’t get rid of their bookmarks is to clear data from Chrome. The question is, does this really work?

The answer to that is: no. This goes for both clearing your browser history and your cache. Cached information is there to load pages faster when you’ve been to them before. Clearing this won’t do anything regarding your bookmarks.

This is a typically good thing because you will want to clear your cache and not necessarily delete your bookmarks. If you use the Clear browsing data option, you will clear things such as cookies, site information, site settings, and more.

Is Clearing Data Harmful?

If you have cleared data in hopes of solving your bookmark issue, then you might be wondering if it somehow can be harmful to your computer. The answer to this is probably not. In fact, it’s very healthy for your user experience to clear data now and then.

If browser data isn’t cleared from time to time, it may result in old pages showing when you don’t want them to (this goes for things such as forms). Also, you may experience an upgrade in performance if you clear your data if you haven’t done so in a long time.

Are Laptop Chargers Interchangeable? https://www.techserviceguru.com/are-laptop-chargers-interchangeable/ https://www.techserviceguru.com/are-laptop-chargers-interchangeable/#respond Tue, 15 Feb 2022 19:21:05 +0000 https://www.techserviceguru.com/?p=242 Every laptop model comes with an original and unique laptop charger. However, there are times when it might stop working. Therefore, one of the main questions that laptop owners ask is whether laptop chargers are interchangeable? I, too, was curious, and so I did some research.

You should not interchange laptop chargers as there are no standard laptop chargers. You have to get a charger that is uniquely designed for your laptop to avoid damaging the laptop. For instance, connectors are not standardized, so you can not accidentally plug a wrong charger into your laptop.

In this article, you will learn about charging your laptop with a different charger, the safety of universal chargers, and laptop-charger compatibility. You will also learn about what happens if you charge a laptop with the wrong charger and how to charge a laptop without a charger.

Sounds interesting? Keep reading for more detailed information.

How To Go About Charging Your Laptop With a Different Charger

If you are charging your laptop with a different charger, you need to consider a few things such as;

  • The shape and size of the connector
  • Polarity
  • Voltage
  • Amperage

The first thing you need to consider is the shape and size of the connector. For instance, you need to ensure that the charger you want to use has a connector that perfectly fits the charger port of your laptop.

The next vital thing you need to consider is the voltage and polarity. In many cases, you will find voltage ratings listed on the power brick. It is critical to have the voltage and polarity on your laptop to match the charger’s voltage.

It is also vital to consider the amperage. For instance, amperage regulates how much power will flow from your charger per unit time. For the correct functionality, the amperage rating listed on your charger should match or exceed the one needed by your laptop.

Are Universal Chargers Safe?

Universal chargers are available for laptops. They have wide voltage ranges and come in many DC tips to fit different laptop brands. For instance, they are known for their convenience and versatility.

But are they safe to use?

Universal chargers are safe to use as long as you have the right charger. For instance, the charger’s amperage, wattage, and voltage should be right.

This is to say, although a universal charger might have a wide voltage range, it is vital to use the right fit. It is also critical not to use a low voltage amperage charger with a high amperage laptop.

Choosing a Universal Charger

Choosing the right universal charger that works well with your laptop can be a hard task. It entails considering customer reviews and a few requirements. One of the primary considerations is the number of tips. As such, DC tips will allow you to charge multiple laptops.

It would be best if you also focused on voltage and power wattage range. Most laptops have a maximum output wattage and voltage range of 90W and 20V.

Other vital factors are cord length and portability. For instance, you need to look for chargers with a power cord that can reach up to power outlets and boards. This should be about 6feet long.

Lightweight and portable universal chargers are easy to carry over long distances. Therefore, if you are a person who travels a lot, you should consider buying a portable, lightweight, universal laptop charger.

How Do You Know Which Laptop Charger Is Compatible?

Knowing which laptop charger is compatible with your device is not a difficult or overly inconvenient process. It all entails a little research.

For instance, all the information you need to know which laptop charger is compatible with your laptop can be easily found on your laptop or charger.

Supposing you are in an electronic shop looking for a laptop charger, you will be required to take time to look at the computer models the charger you are looking at is compatible with.

All this information should be listed on the laptop charger packaging. If your specific laptop model is on the list, then that specific laptop charger is compatible with your laptop. Else, it is recommended that you look for another laptop charger.

Looking at the bottom of your laptop will also guide you in knowing if the charger is compatible with your laptop. For instance, manufacturers stamp product specs on different laptop parts to help you get the right replacement parts for your laptop.

Although there are many stamps, you need to look for the stamp that says “AC adaptor” or something similar. You will be able to see the model number, which will assist you in knowing the right charger that is compatible with your laptop.

Another way that you can know if a charger is compatible with your laptop is by ensuring that the specs for the laptop and those for the charger are the same.

This includes ensuring that the input and output voltage are identical. Besides, the charger’s connections should fit your laptop.

What Can Happen If You Charge a Laptop With the Wrong Charger?

You might be asking yourself how a charger can be wrong if its connectors properly fit the laptop’s charge port with the correct polarity.

A charger could be wrong if it has the wrong voltage, wrong current, wrong polarity, or wrong amperage.

A wrong voltage will potentially cause a problem. For instance, a high voltage will burn things in your laptop, thus destroying it. On the other hand, low voltage won’t work – the laptop will not work properly.

Charging a laptop with a charger that supplies a high current will not affect your laptop. On the other hand, a laptop charger with a very low current will fry the power supply but does not affect the laptop.

If the laptop charger has a wattage higher than required, there will be no problem. Your laptop will only take the power that it requires. However, if the wattage is too low than required, the charger will overheat. As a result, it could fail and potentially damage your laptop.

How To Charge a Laptop Without a Charger

Normally, laptops are charged by chargers connected to the power source. However, with the rapid technology innovation, new methods have been developed for charging laptops without a charger.

The available methods are few, and they include;

  • Charging a laptop with a USB
  • Charging  a laptop battery externally
  • Charging a laptop using a phone
  • Charging a laptop in a car using a cigarette lighter and an inverter
  • Charging a laptop using another laptop

1. How to charge a laptop using a USB

This is one of the emerging methods you can use to charge your laptop. It is similar to charging your mobile phone using a power bank.

We all know that laptops have many ports which can not be used for charging purposes.

However, recent innovation has allowed the introduction of Type B and Type C ports. These are the ports that allow charging your laptop through a USB cable.

To deliver power to the laptops through USB -Type C, you need to have a power bank. This power bank should supply the needed power of between 60W to 100W and a voltage of 20V.

However, it is important to note that if the power bank voltage is less than your laptop’s rated voltage, it won’t be of any use. Therefore, the rated power source voltage is vital when charging a laptop with a USB.

2. How to Charge a laptop battery externally.

You can charge your laptop battery externally using one of the following methods.

  1. Directly connect the charger to the laptop battery adapter port. An AC adapter must be available in your laptop battery for this method to work.
  2. Use an external battery charger. The charger must be compatible with your laptop model. It is vital to be sure of the external charger specifications.
  3. Buy an extra battery that fits the specifications of your laptop. Before buying, you need to ensure that the battery is equipped with an AC adapter port.

This will allow you to externally recharge your backup battery while using the other battery running out of power. When it is out of power, you can replace it with an externally charged battery. This method only works if you have a power source or a power bank.

3. How to charge a laptop battery using a phone

You probably have charged your phone with a laptop. But, did you know that you can charge your laptop with a phone?

For this to work, you should have a C-type charger. Your laptop must have a female port that will support the C-type USB cable. It must also have a USB-C charging feature.

Besides, you will need a type-C to type-C USB cable. These cables have type-C output on either side of the USB.

When you connect one USB port to your phone and the other to the laptop, a menu will pop up as it does when you connect a phone to charging.

Click on it and choose ‘Supply power to the other connected device’. Your laptop will start charging.

However, this method is not recommended because phones and laptops have different charging capabilities, battery types, and lives. As such, this method will destroy the USB or the battery of either device.

Therefore, this method should be your hope of last resort if the other methods do not work for you.

Final Thought

A laptop comes with a charger designed to provide the desired voltage and wattage output to power the laptop. You can use the same charger for many laptop models; however, you risk slowing down or damaging your laptop.

Therefore, before you charge your laptop with any charger, you should read the specifications carefully.

Besides, instead of interchanging laptop chargers, you can use other methods to charge your laptop without a charger.

Is VGA Good For Gaming? https://www.techserviceguru.com/is-vga-good-for-gaming/ https://www.techserviceguru.com/is-vga-good-for-gaming/#respond Mon, 20 Dec 2021 15:31:40 +0000 https://www.techserviceguru.com/?p=203 Video Graphics Array (abbreviated VGA) is a standard type of connection for video devices like projectors and monitors. VGA refers to the ports, connectors, and cables used to connect monitors to video cards in general. Though VGA is still used today, other interfaces such as DVI and HDMI are increasingly replacing it.

Yes, VGA is good for gaming. Though VGA is the oldest display connection standard that you’ll find in older projectors and displays, it does not always imply it is unsuitable for gaming. VGA was once the most common connection between a computer and a monitor. Many older displays still include VGA inputs in addition to more recent digital interfaces like DVI, DisplayPort, or HDMI.

However, if your monitor has a digital input port, you should use that instead of VGA. When using a VGA interface, there are different ways to get a bad image that does not happen when using a digital interface.

If your display only has VGA input and nothing else, it means it’s probably quite old. However, you can still use it (as long as your game hardware allows analogue output).

How many FPS can VGA Support?

With a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, the maximum refresh rate (therefore, maximum FPS displayed on-screen) is 60FPS.

VGA is a video connector from the past that is no longer used. Its FPS rate is poor by today’s game standards.

The rate at which back-to-back images called frames occur on display and generate moving imagery is measured in frames per second (FPS).

A low frame rate speed in live streaming might result in choppy video quality or significant latency times. If your monitor can’t keep up with the visuals in a video game, it may duplicate or triple some frames in the video feed, resulting in a sluggish visual impact on your screen.

However, if your frame rate is too high because of synchronisation difficulties, your monitor may become overloaded and malfunction.

Does VGA reduce FPS?

Not really. In comparison to HDMI, Display Port, USB type C, and Thunderbolt, VGA is slower. You can play FPS games with VGA if you want, but you may want to upgrade later because you will be at a disadvantage.

Gamers choose a higher desired frame rate because a steady graphics card connection is better than a fast one. PC action games are best played at 60 fps, although any frame rate of 30 fps or higher should suffice.

Why? When the action slows down, your frame rate isn’t as critical as when the action picks up. When the game gets frantic, if you’re only receiving 30 frames per second, it could drop considerably lower, significantly affecting your performance when you need it most.

If you’re a dedicated gamer, you’ll want to choose a high-resolution display with an optimal frame rate. Otherwise, your competitor can see more quickly than you and leave you in the dust, with irritating bugs and tears dividing victory and defeat.

What Resolution Does VGA Support?

The original VGA (VGA standard) could only support 640×480 pixels. However, the modern VGA connections can offer 1080p and higher resolutions. The maximum resolution of a VGA signal is restricted by the signal source (video card, integrated chip, etc.) and the VGA cable quality.

VGA is not suited for high resolutions. While VGA can support 1080P, it isn’t the best connection for monitors to acquire more than 1080P.

At higher resolutions, VGA begins to lag. VGA uses analogue signals. Because most modern electronics are digital, the hardware (signal source) must actively convert digital to analogue, which consumes power and reduces image quality.

What Cable is Best for Gaming?

Display Port is the best cable for gaming. Connecting a computer to a monitor via DisplayPort is the best option.

Features of Display Port Cable

DisplayPort 1.2 backs 3840*2160, 4K, at 60Hz, or 1080p at 144Hz — DisplayPort 1.3, released in Sept 2014, backs 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz! With only DisplayPort 1.2, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti is limited to 4K at 60Hz.

A single GTX 1080 provides an average FPS of between 33 and 69, depending on the game, when playing recent games like Rise of the Tomb Raider, GTA V, or Dirt Rally with 4K resolution and extreme graphics settings.

Two GeForce GTX 1080s in SLI are required to play recent games at 4K resolution and 120Hz. You can use daisy-chaining hubs or displays with DisplayPort to connect numerous monitors to a single wire.

A simple passive adapter can convert dual-mode DisplayPort (also known as DisplayPort++) to DVI and HDMI. For high FPS or 4K gaming, DisplayPort is a clear choice.

DisplayPort can also transport audio, but it’s up to the vendor to support and implement it. Thus some devices from certain brands will have it while others won’t. In some circumstances, the video driver is in charge of the sound stream rather than the audio driver.

Why are HDMI and DisplayPort better than VGA?

VGA is an out-of-date analogue video connection that is no longer widely utilised in most gadgets, while it is still commonly used in projectors. Many units equipped with VGA are still usable in other electronics like computers and monitors, although just a few are still manufactured. In today’s world, the only reason to use VGA is if it is the only alternative.

VGA ports, cables, and connections, on the other hand, are being phased out in favor of more modern interfaces like DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort. VGA transmissions are analogue rather than digital; thus, their quality is poor. They’re only capable of carrying video, not audio. Additionally, utilising a converter to convert VGA data to DVI or HDMI will degrade visual quality even more.

Also, VGA has a maximum resolution of 640480 pixels, significantly lower than DVI’s top resolutions of 1920*1200 or 2560*1600 pixels. IT professionals propose the following criteria when it comes to replacing an obsolete VGA monitor.

  1. How Is HDMI Better Than VGA?

HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) was created to simplify audio/video communications. The goal was to develop a single cable as a worldwide industry standard that could be used with any device, independent of the manufacturer.

HDMI cables are now found on nearly all electronic devices, including televisions, computers, Blu-ray players, laptops, projectors, desktop graphics cards and more. HDMI’s biggest selling point is its 4K video resolution, apart from its near-universal interoperability.

Version 2.0 of HDMI, which was launched in September 2013, was the first version capable of fully supporting 4k.

The 19-pin HDMI connection’s main advantage is that it delivers video and audio signals, decreasing the number of cables required for full coverage. Mini HDMI and Micro HDMI are two smaller versions available. These are used on devices that do not have a normal HDMI port, such as tablets and cell phones.

If an electronic device has an HDMI port, it is the best all-around cable available today.

  1. How Is Display Port Better Than VGA?

DisplayPort was created to be used with computer monitors. It’s a high-performance cable, much more so than HDMI, capable of providing the maximum video resolution (8k) currently available. Although many displays now include both DisplayPort and HDMI, high-end monitors may solely have DisplayPort due to their greater video quality.

Mini DisplayPort is a smaller version of the standard version used on devices that are too small to fit the conventional version. The Mini DisplayPort was created by Apple and is most typically found on MacBooks, while it is also found on some Windows systems.

DisplayPort was created in partnership with many PC and chip manufacturers. Although each signal can be delivered independently, the 20-pin connector can handle audio and video concurrently.
